OUR PURPOSE
Founded in 2020, as a finalist of Action Accelerator, the Kali Clinic began its roots as "period"- an organization that improved the livelihoods of persons suffering from PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder). Through spreading awareness, inspiring others to create an open dialogue about PMDD, and connecting various stories of PMDD through various art forms, Kala felt a calling to do more than express these stories but to find solutions for the shared experience. She explored holistic solutions for PMDD and soon discovered profound answers within Functional Medicine.
Functional Medicine, or root-cause medicine promotes holistic and deep understanding of illness and wellness, and because of this, Kala was inspired to integrate this approach her not only to her company, but her personal health too.
The Kali Clinic is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals of Good Health and Well-Being (3), Quality Education (4), Gender Equality (5), and Partnerships for the Goals (17). We believe that wellness is the foundation for sustainable living, that menstrual health IS health, and to honor the female body via gender equity. Through our international collaborations with various organizations, we are passionate about working with youth to promote mental health and well-being. We offer preventative education and resources for students, empowering them to live a life free from disease. Our goal is to help individuals live as their most authentic selves, fostering a healthier and more equitable future.
